Easter Interpretations
Hi---Did you celebrate Palm Sunday? See little children waving palm branches?
It's hard to fathom the difference between the widespread joy of that day contrasted with
the overwhelming sadness of the arrest & death sentence a few days later. I hope you
know & love the true meaning of Easter and what a great gift eternal life is.
This image was a combination of two very different photos. One was the sun setting over
reflecting on the ocean with a mountain silhouetted in the background. It was taken from a
cruise ship leaving Naples, Italy. The other was a crucifix taken at a former monastery in Lisbon,
Portugal. It was inside a sanctuary high up on a balcony. I had to remove all of the
building structure around it. After trying several Photoshop filters, I settled on this combination.
I've never done anything like it before, but I love the imaginative, dreamy style. Photography
normally gives us extremely detailed visual information. It becomes art when the viewer
can see something new or something in a new way.
