Blue Cheese & Grandchildren

Hi!
I just recently joined the St. Augustine Art Association.  We're about 35 miles north of there, so
the drive's not too bad.  It has great historic buildings, narrow streets, a stone fortress & lots of
boats in the water.  In other words, it's an artist's paradise.

Recently we were at a friend's house for dinner.  Diane asked me to bring some of my work to show,
and she commented on this one.  She said I should enter it in the "Out of Bounds" show in
St. Aug.  So, I framed it & made the drive down there.  It was accepted---sadly, my other really
strange, brilliant one was not.  Diane managed to win an award.

Anyway, they have a beautiful building in the historic district, so there's always a show & you
can even rent a small gallery space if you want to have your own solo show.

About the work:
This photo started out as an Italian landscape.  Then a photoshop filter morphed it into an abstract.
To give it more interest, I added one layer that was a picture of my friend Sally's favorite cheese.
(The cheese is a mixture of the textures of two kinds & it has walnuts in it.)  After that I added a couple of
pictures of my three grandkids.

Two are looking at each other & the third is blowing bubbles.  The girls are on the upper left, and
the boy is on the lower right.  You probably can't see them on an image this small, but they're there.

The first time I printed I wasn't that thrilled with it.  Then I fell in love with metallic prints & went
back to pump up saturation of the blues.  That made all the difference!  Metallic prints are almost like hi-def-----
the pictures are more dimensional and look like they do on your screen.   Try one!

Blessings!
