The Shaggy Dog

Hi there!

I had a hard time deciding which image to show this week, because I have literally hundreds
of thousands to choose from.   Of course, they are not all Blog Worthy....in fact I have a special
folder on my desktop for just such a purpose.  I put pictures I hope are the most interesting into it.

This was taken in Portugal on my last trip to somewhere exotic.  (Obviously, it's been too long!)
The pet was conveniently posing for me with a nice tilt of the head.  What I liked was the
contrast of the furry dog with the smooth hard stone sidewalk (albeit, quite narrow) & street.
The curb creates a nice diagonal line to lead your eye to the doggy.  Always a photo plus.

The real question I had was if all the dogs in Portugal (or even just Sesimbra?) have uneven legs.
The front ones obviously touch the street quite easily.  The back...I'm not so sure...

One NICE thing about Europe is the people take their pets everywhere--okay, little dogs.  I admit
I didn't really see anyone walking a cat on a leash.  But there are so many OUTDOOR cafes, and
they just sit & enjoy with their dog right beside them.

The BAD thing is that I was in a restaurant in Italy & actually sat beside a dog INSIDE
an expensive restaurant---it had steak.  It arrived in a carrier, but came out to eat little bitty pieces
of meat from a fork wielded by it's doting blond female owner.

Blessings!
