A Cool Summer

Hi----We are sweltering down here in the south! Lots of 98º, 97º, 99º and even 100º weather, and it
feels even hotter than that with the extremely high humidity and lack of shade. You begin sweating as
soon as you walk outside....so you start trying to figure out how you can get to your car without leaving
comfort of air conditioning. Okay, some people can actually do that because they have room in their
garage for a car....
But, they probably live in the north and have a basement to store all their junk in. We of the low water table
must use the garage, attic & all other available above ground space. You might have guessed that I
did not come from a neat & orderly household. I'm beginning to think I have an illness (which doesn't
let me throw away anything which might possibly have the slightest possibility of being valuable or useful
at some future date or generation).
Water is our other salvation....we have the Atlantic ocean just a couple of miles away, and that is a fantastic
place to cool off with family & friends. You just have to make sure you are coated with sunscreen, have
towels, beach chairs, a cooler of drinks, snacks, buckets, shovels, boogie boards & a hat. After enjoying
a couple of hours of the beach, you bring all these items back home coated with sand into your air conditioned
realm.
