NC Mountains
Greetings from the very cool heights of the North Carolina mountains near Grandfather Mountain.
Though I've been lacking the use of the internet, it's been such a blessing to be in the
wonderfully COOL AIR up here. Such a beautiful, peaceful respite from the blazing
Florida weather we have at this time of year.
Temps are actually low enough to need a light jacket in the morning & evening. Similar to
my beloved San Diego. Last night we went to a free Blue Grass concert outside.
Just prior to that we stumbled upon a great jewelry shop while looking for photo opps...
how great is that? And if that wasn't enough, I got the okay to get a birthday gift
for my husband (to give me) next week!
The light & the clouds are always changing in amazing ways. Yesterday they covered up
everything, so you didn't even see any mountains. Today was very clear & sunny. Sometimes the
clouds look just like smoke rising from the ground. Sometimes you can see 5 ridges
going off into the distance miles & miles away.
This way the view from my BFF's condo this evening...can't get much better than this!
TIP: Just meter on the most beautiful part of the sky & let the foreground go into silhouette.
