Standing on Catfish

(Just discovered that I don't know how to spell "Home---ees," so it ruined my greeting . . .)
Got back late last night from a great trip to HOUSTON, Texas to visit family----basically they're only in
4 other states, so I'll be running out soon. Went with my 2 granddaughters & had non-stop fun on Tiki
Island, near Galveston. A month's worth of activities crammed in to a week.
Now I'm wiped out. Need the vacation to recover from the vacation.
KEMAH is one of the places we visited. It's a touristy resort area with nice but expensive rides, restaurants
& shops. It was steaming hot, so we didn't last long outside. We rode the ferris wheel & fake airplane
up in the sky thingy. Then ate at the CADILLAC Mexican Restaurant and left our names in crayon
for posterity (or until someone else scrapes it off). It's a fun tradition there. Good food, too.
This photo is taken down below, beside the pilings. We paid 25¢ for "duck food" and got 5 pieces of
dog food. Literally, 5 pieces. What a rip! Next time we are bringing our own little bag of doggie pellets
& plan to make a fortune selling them 10 for 25¢. We'll make at least a thousand dollars if we sell the whole bag.
When we decided to throw our precious food to the ducks, the water was SO crowded with
CATFISH that the ducks hardly had a chance. One of them ACTUALLY walked across the catfish to get closer to
the people throwing the food. Not sure they ever got any. Probably why there weren't many DUCKS.
Photip: The shot caught the action of the fish moving, but wasn't sharp on the duck. This was due to a
relatively slow exposure. It still makes a good illustrative shot.
Blessings!
