Rainy day blackbirds

Hi there!  I'll be so glad once we get to warmer weather to stay.  Just seems like
Jacksonville should be very warm (mid-70's) in late March, but it's been cool and rainy.  This time
of year lots of people get sick, including me & my family.  We're doing better now, thank you.
The Beauty & The Beasts show has ended, sadly.  But I'll be at the Beaches Museum on Saturday.
Stop by if you get a chance.

I love and miss the sun.  Supposedly there is a condition with the acronym SADD where people get
depressed when they don't get the sunlight they crave.  I might be one of them, especially if there
are government benefits involved......

Anyway, I decided to try to capture a rainy day image that would transmit the feeling of the
gray sky and a little depression.  (Hmmmm, does a gray sky really have feeling?)  One day I spotted
what looked like a good shot of some birds silhouetted in a leafless tree a  couple of houses down.
It was raining, so I grabbed my camera and got in my car.  The birds were gone

I proceeded to try to find this group of black birds by driving down one street after another.  I finally
spotted some, so I stopped.  My camera kept getting a little wet because I had the window down, so
I gave up after the chase about 15 minutes.  The original version is on top.

The funner Photoshop version is down here.
It is cropped tighter and an artistic filter was used.  I think the final version conveys the feeling
I was after.  I might crop a little more off the top.  Which one do you like better?
Watch for this piece of art to become a national best seller after I complete my Marketing Matters
class for women owned small businesses hosted by the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce!

PHOTIP: Don't be afraid to experiment.  Use your digital tools to add interest to your images.
Just remember to save them with a different name to preserve the original.

Blessings!
