Singing Color
Hi--enjoying our fall weather? I was gettin' just a little cold after a 30º night in Georgia over
Thanksgiving. Back in Florida, it's warmer (75º). The Jags--close but no cigar. : < On to
more pleasant subjects....

We don't have much in the way of fall color here in Jacksonville Beach, so my eyes were
delighted as we drove into the northern part of Georgia where the leaves were still changing.
Though I'm sure we didn't hit the peak---the colors just sang to me!

These images were all taken just down the street from the lake house in Morgan county
where we stayed. It was amazing to me that a tree could still have green leaves but also
yellow, orange and red all at the same time! It turned out to be a Pyrus Calleryana or
Bradford Pear. The dark trunk & branches added great contrast to leaves in the image.

PHOTO TIPS: When trying to capture trees consider wide angle to get the whole shape,
but then go in close for detail shots. Look for iconic images like pumpkins.
Use the lines of a branch to create a diagonal across the image and draw your eyes with it.
Look for good backlight late in the day or early in the morning like these yellow leaves.
BLESSINGS!
