Color Deprived in Arizona

GREETINGS from the very lush state of Florida!!!!

Is brown your most favorite color in the whole world???? If so, I have the ideal place
for you to live....Scottsdale, ARIZONA!  You need to move there immediately because they
only allow light brown, medium brown, dark brown---but not too dark, light beige, medium
beige, dark beige, light adobe, medium adobe, dark adobe, light sand, medium sand, dark
sand, light rock, medium rock, dark rock, slate gray, drab green, dusty rose, and dusty
just about anything else excessively neutral.

The key is to blend in with the surrounding rocks, sand, desert & cacti.
We actually
passed some towns in the hills that we hardly noticed because you only saw the rooftops
and they were similar colors---or similarly colorless, depending on your point of view.
They blended in with the environment as was their intention.

But what if you LOVE color, like I do??????  I don't suppose there's an ordinance against
using color in extremely small doses inside the privacy of your own home, is there?
The bottom line is I found the sparse landscape depressing and I think I would die of color
deprivation.  That may be a new medical diagnosis for people who move out west and
are unhappy: CD.  Think you could get disability for it if your performance goes way down?

Anyway, it was fun to visit & see a new part of the country.  I enjoy seeing new landscapes
and animals.  Actually, we saw quite a few animals at the Xona Resort as well as at
The Princess Resort : rabbits, cactus wrens, gophers, woodpeckers, roadrunners,
doves, quail,
mallards & a heron.  I guess the water attracts them.  Did I mention the lovely,
visual oasis of TPC next door?

The cacti came in a wide variety of shapes & textures dotted with the occasional bloom
which added a touch color.   The Princess also had a beautiful rose garden
with actual yellow, orange, red & lavender blooms.  That's where the wedding was.
Did I forget to mention the Farris-Horton Wedding that I photographed?
Why else do you think I went out there?

PHOTOTIP:  Know someone who needs wedding images?  Volunteer to do the pix
if they'll take you along.  It's a great trip, but know there will be lots of hours editing when
you get back home.

BLESSINGS!
