SellYourMac.com?
GREETINGS! Thought we had a bit of fall there last week, but it was a fluke---it's still in the 90's here with lots of humidity. If you haven't taken your vacation, there's still lots of sunshine & sunburn available in Florida. Come on down!

I'm kinda bummed this week. W-A-A-Y back in July, I looked into selling two Power Mac G5's.
A site: SellYourMac.com offered the best price after you sent in pictures of the shiny silver towers as well as the serial numbers. They asked a few questions and then we agreed to an estimated price along with a Fed Ex label. Both were sent 07/20/11 from Jville and confirmed to have arrived 07/22/11. They tell you it could take a week for the testing, before they send the check.
Two weeks later, I wrote an email to check on the progress. One was having problems (as we told them it would). They told me then it was "basically a paperweight". I felt that was a little harsh because obviously you could use the tower, power plug, airport antennae, box, etc----especially since their business is reselling equipment. After pointing that out, they did make an offer. But....
A couple of weeks later, still nothing. They seemed to have lost track of the better one. Many of my emails got no reply. I resent the serial numbers several times, shipping labels & delivery confirmation a couple of times. It's been very frustrating. But finally....
September 1, Chris, one of the owners said they found it & would send me a check that day. Guess what----two weeks & three emails asking for help later, still nothing. In my 17th email, I said that I would begin to air my complaints wherever I could. Friends, Romans & countrymen....I'm starting here.
Here's my question: If you agreed to sell something, sent it & got nothing in return----is that theft?
PHOTIP: Do not send anything to SELLYOURMAC.COM.
P.S. Next week I will go over more artist tipss.
Blessings!

UPDATE 9/22/11
I have news regarding my battle with Sell Your Mac com. I did send 5 emails in a row on Monday morning to the company, hoping they would notice me. I decided to use the email from them saying they would send the check on September 2nd, and reply to that one. Each had the same header. Each note was a little different. The last one mentioned my blog. I did get a reply to each email, with a brief apology and promise to send the check. They also asked me to take down the blog. I was considering at least amending it. HOWEVER<<< I still haven’t gotten a check>>> so, the blog remains unchanged. SellYourMac.com has not paid me yet.
Today is the two month-a-versery since they received my computers.
What are the odds I’ll get the check tomorrow?
UPDATE 9/23/11 The check did finally arrive & was immediately taken to the bank.
The also finally answered my questions about extras included. Take note: they don't pay extra. If it's something you can sell yourself, keep it.

Well Cuz, that stinks. Yes, I would post that information like you did. The only other thing I can tell you is to find out what state they are in an call the attorney general or someone in that state the represents that kind of stuff. Good Luck!

I am so sorry that this has happened to you. You should contact local BBB or the one where they are located. Three weeks is understandable, BUT this length of time is not cool.
