Drive Thru Nativity ???
GREETINGS! I hope you're about ready for Christmas, as we've only got 10 days to go.
We still have a bit of shopping left to do. Took out all the gifts & divided them up to see where we're short. We have grandkids, so we've been to every Toys R Us sale in recent history. We've gotten some good deals & it's near Costco, our favorite store. What could be better?

You can do almost anything from your car now days: pick up chicken, hamburgers, fish, cheeseburgers, tacos, hot dogs, fries, salads, ice cream cones, milk shakes, pizza, sandwiches, bagels & other food, do your banking, get cash from an ATM, drop off your dry cleaning, get your Starbuck's, make utility payments, pick up drugs (prescriptions) & drop off library books. Those are all pretty normal.

Yesterday I saw a new sign: Drive Thru Nativity . What???? My brain lurched. We have one church in Ponte Vedra with an actual city of Bethlehem build on the property. About 200 volunteers help create the city & nativity each year for a couple of nights. Ponte Vedra Presbyterian is known for that. It's amazing. But a drive thru manger scene??
The Methodists at Christ United are making use of the semi-circular driveway. They've put the "barn" beside it. I guess on the 18th you can drive by & see it. Hummmmm. I guess if you're out driving around looking at Christmas lights ---and we have a lot in Jville-- it would make sense to go by the live nativity, too. We'll try to do just that with one of our grandkids and see what her reaction is.

So, I guess that means we have drive by nativity. I'll have to work on posting my signs!
In the mean time, enjoy your family and your last minute shopping.

PHOTOTIP: Try photographing one Christmas subject, like ornaments. Remember to take it from various angles and views. It might make a great card for next year or this year if you're sending out a Christmas greeting via email.
BLESSINGS!
